So at some point you probably saw some 'ol surf movie like Big Wednesday, Endless Summer or another classic, and likely some character in that movie wore a shirt like this one.  
 
So when I was just going into college I picked up a Stewart branded surf T that was similar to this one.  I wore the heck out of it and after 6 years or so it actually split in the washer because it was so thin and worn... But boy did I feel legit when i was sporting it.  I hope you feel the same about this one.  
 
It has a pocket so its more expensive.
